SCOB architecture and landscape studio, led by Sergi Carulla and Oscar Blasco, was chosen to design Marina Port Vell Barcelona’s main building. With 2,675m2 of floor space, The Gallery is an impressive two-story glass building inspired by the silhouette of a large superyacht. Like the vessels to which the installation is aimed at, The Gallery raises from the sea, and includes a cement coating designed specifically for the marina which protects the building and makes it adaptable to temperature changes. Another of its distinctive features is the latticework OO, which protects the building from the solar radiation, the wind and the saline environment. The rounded shape of the lattice brings lightness and warmth to The Gallery.
Due to its uniqueness, The Gallery has been rewarded with several prestigious awards, such as the FX International Design Award or the Public Choice Award in the Marinas & Ports category of the A+ Architizer Awards, among others.
24/7 hours service in a premium top-class facility
The Gallery, Marina Port Vell Barcelona’s main building, has become over the years a reference nautical hub.
The ground floor houses the marina’s offices and reception, where its highly skilled and trained staff ensures an exclusive experience for owners, captains and crew. On the other hand, the upper floor has office space for companies in the nautical sector.
The Gallery’s facilities also include a gym equipped with the latest technology, a treatment room, meeting rooms, and the Crew Lounge ─ a multifunctional room aimed to host yoga and pilates sessions or large corporate events.
As if it were an authentic luxury superyacht, The Gallery also has large outdoor spaces, terraces offering stunning panoramic views of the city of Barcelona. When the epidemiologic situation allows it, these terraces are prepared to host all kinds of events.
