The protection and conservation of the environment must be the highest priority for all those who enjoy it, and the marine environment is especially sensitive. Since 2003 Marina Port Vell has been a designated Blue Flag marina, in recognition of our commitment to the environment. In September 2010, the marina was awarded certificates of Quality and Environment 9001:2008, 14001:2004 and EMAS III. Each marks our recognition of the importance of the environment to all of us.

És un codi internacional per a la protecció dels bucs i les instal·lacions portuàries promogut pel comitè de Seguretat Marítima de l’Organització Marítima Internacional (OMI).

Així mateix, gestiona la Declaració de Protecció Marítima entre les Embarcacions i la Instal·lació Portuària (Declaration of Security between a Ship and a Port Facility) a les embarcacions afectades pel codi ISPS que ho sol·licitin.

Després de consultar amb capitans, amb armadors i amb el sector de grans iots, aquesta excel·lent destinació podrà acollir iots de fins a 180 m d’eslora. La marina continuarà operativa quan s’iniciïn les obres a finals del 2011; la finalització d’aquest projecte, amb les instal·lacions més modernes i amb l’oferta dels millors serveis, està prevista per a la tardor del 2012.

La protecció i la conservació del medi ambient ha de ser la màxima prioritat de tots els que el gaudeixen, i hem de ser especialment sensibles amb el medi ambient marí. Des de l’any 2003, Marina Port Vell rep anualment la Bandera Blava per a ports esportius i platges, en reconeixement al compromís amb el medi ambient. El setembre del 2010, la marina va rebre els certificats de qualitat i medi ambient ISO 9001:2008, 14001:2004 i EMAS III.

Marina Port Vell tiene implantado el Plan de Protección con objeto de garantizar la aplicación del código ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security), en sus instalaciones en el Puerto de Barcelona. Código internacional para la protección de los buques y las instalaciones portuarias promovido por el Comité de Seguridad Marítima de la Organización Marítima Internacional (OMI).

Así mismo, gestiona las Declaración de Protección Marítima entre las embarcaciones y la Instalación Portuaria (Declaration of Security between a Ship and a Port Facility) a las embarcaciones afectadas por el Código ISPS y así lo soliciten.
